Mike, Brian, Brian’s daughter and I brought the 350 pound-plus transmitter up to the site in Sutton and placed it in the hut. Moving a large, heavy piece of electronics equipment can be tricky- and we were successful. The transmitter is under tarps in the photo because it was pouring rain in Palmer when we were loading it on the trailer.
While we were at the site we noticed that MEA had cleared the trees and brush to install the electrical connection to the hut (it will be underground). We expect that the electricity will be hooked up this week.
Monte at Palmer Machinery Company is building the mounting bracket for the antenna. We are talking to local rigging guys about the best way to mount the antenna on the pole.
