Cook Inlet Belugas Whales with Leslie Cornick

7 pm Monday November 10  and 5 pm Tuesday November 11: Leslie Cornick of Alaska Pacific University on  Cook Inlet Belugas Whales: New Insights from Recent Research.
Since its listing as an Endangered Species in 2008, the Cook Inlet population of beluga whales (Delphinapterus leucas) has failed to recover as anticipated and fewer than 300 whales remain. This presentation will summarize the most recent research on Cook Inlet belugas, and present potential hypotheses for the continuing decline of this iconic Alaskan species.
