Over Aug 20-21 we installed the antenna, hooked it up to the transmitter, and tested the system. It worked! We plugged an iPod into the transmitter. Mike and Van drove around Sutton and heard the music coming over 89.5! They then powered down the system. Here’s a slideshow on installing the antenna.
Out at transmitter site in Sutton, the electricity is hooked up and the transmitter is humming. Out at the transmitter site, Mike and volunteer/friend Don Howell took the racks out of the hut today and tested the heating and ventilation systems. They work! There is still a bit more cleanup to do and Don (who is an electrician) will connect 220 volt power to the transmitter on Thursday.
